In a Salesforce study, conducted by Coleman-Parkes Research, 150 CEOs were surveyed to understand how they prioritized social networks and technologies in their own businesses.
This infographic by Salesforce highlights the results of this survey, in which the overwhelming majority agreed that that social networks improve their businesses.
For example, 3 out of every 4 CEO will say that social networks are important for attracting new customers, enhancing employee communication, and retaining staff over the long-term. 68% say that social networks are improtant for new product and service launches. However, they note that there are divides within their departments that develop their social strategy. Only 11% have cross-department development while the majority is owned by the Marketing/IT department.
